Skill leaderboard terms
These terms describe the optional skill leaderboard in the Blakey Trades app: a daily education quiz and a ranking of quiz scores. It is educational entertainment only. It is not a competition, contest, sweepstake, lottery, or prize draw. It is not financial advice. You must tick to accept these terms before you can submit a quiz answer. A later version will require a new acceptance.
1. Who runs it
Blakey Trades, operated in England and Wales (“we”, “us”, “our”). Correspondence: in-app Support or Telegram @blakeytrades_support.
2. Who can join the ranking
- Natural persons aged 18 or over with a Blakey Trades member account in good standing.
- Void where prohibited by law. You are responsible for ensuring participation is lawful where you live.
- Staff / admin accounts (moderator, coach, super_admin) are excluded from the leaderboard.
- One natural person. Multiple accounts or shared accounts used to inflate a rank may be removed from the board.
- No purchase, subscription, In‑App Purchase, payment, or broker deposit is required to answer questions or appear on the leaderboard.
- Telegram / community access is an optional, separate service outside the app. It does not unlock the quiz or leaderboard.
3. How the quiz works
During a month marked live in the app, open Skill leaderboard and submit one answer to that UK calendar day’s question (timezone: Europe/London). One attempt per question. The month runs from 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 Europe/London on the start and end dates shown in the app. Late answers after the month closes do not count.
4. Scoring
Points are awarded on our servers for correct quiz answers only:
- Foundation — 75 points
- Applied — 100 points
- Scenario — 125 points
- Elite — 150 points
Quiz results and leaderboard points for a UK day are released after that day closes (so the live correct answer cannot be obtained from the API while the question is open). Ranking is by total quiz points, then correct-answer count, then active days, then who first reached the tied score (reached_at). Announcement reactions do not award points. Rank is a practice score, not a prize standing.
5. No prize
There is no prize, no cash alternative, and no entitlement of any kind for finishing first. Rank and points are educational entertainment.
6. Fair play
Cheating, exploiting bugs, sharing answer keys, collusion, or creating fake accounts may result in score removal and account suspension.
7. Leaderboard display
The in-app leaderboard may show your rank, points, and a shortened display name (typically first name and last initial). By joining you consent to that limited display to other signed-in members.
8. Personal data
We process quiz answers, scores, and leaderboard displays as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Liability
The quiz is educational entertainment. It is not financial advice and does not involve staking money with Blakey Trades. Liability is limited as set out in our Terms of Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
11. Changes
We may update these terms for future months. The version shown in-app and on this page at the time you first acknowledge them applies to your answers for that month. Material changes for an open month will be announced in-app where practicable.
